| Korte omschrijving | The Ahadi Quilt came to the United States. Survivors of sexual violence in the Eastern Congo have produced over 100 hand embroidered panels that tell their story. The project is called "Ahadi" which means "promise" in Swahili. The panels are currently being assembled into six quilts by two quilting associations in the United States: the Capitol City Quilt Guild in Michigan and the Faithful Circle Quilting Guild of Maryland in partnership with The Advocacy Project and the SOS Femmes en Danger. |
